I poked around the Garden of Dreams sim tonight since the lag wasn't too awful...

Sky and Scottie
Sky and Scottie Melnik, sitting in their customary spot atop the mantle in their bar, 'Cuffs. I opted to capture something between them instead of focusing on the atmosphere of the tavern.
Port Babbage
I was asked to take some snapshots of the construction happening in the Port Babbage sim yesterday. Four of them turned out pretty well, I think, and are posted over on the City of New Babbage Aethernet Reader site.
This is my favorite, with a bit more post-processing. I really like the pop of unexpected red in the sails.

Lightbox
I picked up a new photo prop from Glitterati tonight, and Kaylee agreed to be my first model. There are a number of poses that turned out really well, but this is the only one I'll post for now.

High-resolution portrait
There are so many fantastic tutorials out there for SL photography, using GIMP, and general photographic technique. I've been devouring them. This is a high-res test portrait that I'm relatively happy with.
(If this had been an actual portrait, I wouldn't be wearing mismatched jewelry!)

Eros & Psyche
The project du jour. This one took me all day.
The location is Mythopoeia...I highly recommend a visit.

Nude study #2
Well, it isn't quite nude - I've included a sheer skirt on this version. Started this one last night and finished this morning.
Wheatstone Tilt Shift
This morning I played around with "tilt shift" techniques, which are intended to give an illusion of miniature. I decided to use the Wheatstone Waterways pic I posted earlier to see if I could achieve something like that. This is the result of about two hours of experimentation...it isn't quite as easy as it looks in the tutorials. ;-)

Nude Study #1
Working with different windlight settings. I liked this one - NB Mistyday 12pm. Throughly GIMPified.

Leia and The Rabbit House
Another Winterfell piece. This little cottage is a house for rabbits. Leia and I spent a lot of time looking at it, during which I took this snapshot. This has a fantasy, Alice in Wonderland kind of feel to it that I love.
Em and Junie
This wasn't planned as a portrait, but it kinda turned out that way. It might be my favorite image of us.
Winterfell cottage
Another Winterfell piece. There is another version with lighting that reminds me of a Maxfield Parrish painting. I will add that soon for comparison...
Autumn
Yes, it's a nude, but a tasteful one I hope. This was taken on-location in SL, with a combination of viewer graphic settings and post-processing in GIMP. The pose is custom-made.
And no, it isn't me.

Old Hollywood Junie
I was experimenting with poses and lighting for a profile pic for someone else. I'm happy with the way this batch turned out. Very old Hollywood with a touch more mystery.

Cabot Trail
Another SL / RL image. My goal with these is to modify the SL elements to look more photo-real, and to modify the RL elements to appear a bit less real so that the merge is as seamless as possible.
Akidami
Akidami Swift, a former dweller of the desert Steamlands. The background is taken from an RL picture.
Brother Lapis
My friend, Brother Dominic Lapis, on a roleplay jungle mission during the Sir Emerson Lighthouse and the Search for Malus story.
Leia
My friend, Leia, on her wedding day in New Babbage. This wasn't taken as a formal portrait - it was just a snapshot from the reception that I worked with in GIMP afterward.
La Dramamina
The houseboat I built for a contest during the New Babbage Oiling Festival. It took second place and fetched the highest bid at auction. Woo!

Heaven 4D
Emerson and me dancing at Heaven 4D, which is a bit like a fully-immersive rave party. The starry visual effects here are from the build itself, not anything I've added.
The Rescue Mission
This was a formal portrait taken at the commencement of a roleplay story for the New Babbage Aethernet Reader: Sir Emerson Lighthouse and The Search for Malus.
Tutu
I played around with exposure and color quite a lot in this series, but I think these are my favorites.
Junie's Tintypes
Welcome to my new blog, where I post images that I've taken in Second Life.
Please visit the About page.
Today I'm doing an initial load of portfolio images, so they'll all have the same date. In the future I will be posting images as I make them.
