Incognito

Because Emerson and I and a number of friends are currently away from New Babbage on a RP adventure, whenever I do spend time in the city it is "out of character."  So I wear my incognito outfit, which includes a bowler and a darkened pair of my pince nez.

While waiting to make some portraits for someone else last night, I took some of myself.  I'm very happy with a couple of crops of this one.

Scottie and Sky Melnik's vacation

The Melniks put together a story on the New Babbage Aethernet Reader about their vacation to Ravila.  The first two pics are taken in the Venexia sim, a vampire roleplay sim that is modeled after a medieval Venice.  The final pic was taken on an airship mast in New Babbage.

The first image is a freeze frame capture.  The other two are custom poses.

Port Babbage

I was asked to take some snapshots of the construction happening in the Port Babbage sim yesterday.  Four of them turned out pretty well, I think, and are posted over on the City of New Babbage Aethernet Reader site.

This is my favorite, with a bit more post-processing.  I really like the pop of unexpected red in the sails.

Wheatstone Tilt Shift

This morning I played around with "tilt shift" techniques, which are intended to give an illusion of miniature.  I decided to use the Wheatstone Waterways pic I posted earlier to see if I could achieve something like that.  This is the result of about two hours of experimentation...it isn't quite as easy as it looks in the tutorials.  ;-)

Gadget is an urchin living in New Babbage.  He is one of my favorite subjects to date.

La Dramamina

The houseboat I built for a contest during the New Babbage Oiling Festival.  It took second place and fetched the highest bid at auction.  Woo!
